Kalara Borneo Showcases the Taste of Kalimantan Forest at Entrepreneur Hub Kalbar 2025

Pontianak, June 2, 2025 — Kalara Borneo had the honor of being selected as one of the featured participants in the Entrepreneur Hub Kalimantan Barat 2025, held at Tanjungpura University, Pontianak. This event, initiated by Indonesia’s Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in regional areas, particularly in West Kalimantan.

During the mini expo, Kalara Borneo introduced two of its signature products: bean-to-bar chocolate and Maram fruit syrup—a unique forest fruit native to Kalimantan, processed in collaboration with local communities. These products highlight Kalara’s commitment to using locally sourced ingredients from West Kalimantan, while preserving authenticity, culture, and environmental responsibility.

The event was attended by Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Mr. Maman Abdurrahman, who briefly visited the exhibition area and sampled one of Kalara’s products. Although the interaction was brief, Kalara’s presence marked an important step in introducing Kalimantan’s forest-based products to a wider national audience.

“We’re proud to bring the taste of West Kalimantan to a platform like this. For us, it’s not just about selling products — it’s about telling a story of nature, people, and a shared commitment to sustainability,” said a Kalara Borneo representative.

Carrying the theme Entrepreneur Journey: Scaling Up, Entrepreneur Hub Kalbar 2025 offered a range of programs such as workshops, business mentoring, digital and financial literacy sessions, and legal support services. It served as a collaborative platform connecting small businesses, support institutions, financial partners, and digital platforms.
